van der valk hotel venlo has consistently exceeded my expectations, and this stay was no exception. the newly refurbished reception and bar area were amazing, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. the breakfast was also outstanding, and the room layout with a bathtub and separate shower was fantastic.

Clean and tidy and a good location for people passing through the area on the Motorway.
Unfriendly staff, poor quality, over expensive restaurant. A 4 star hotel should be friendly and an extention of your home in atmosphere, this hotel is not. I would compare this hotel with a travel lodge type hotel without the tea/coffee making facilities. This was our last hotel on our trip of 4 hotels and it was definately the worst for customer service and friendliness, not even a smile from the staff.
